Meathead For Governor?

I had no idea that Rob Reiner was considering running for Governor. Well, polls show that he leads all Democrat contenders.

…movie director and actor Rob Reiner outpolled three Democratic statewide officeholders believed interested in running: Attorney General Bill Lockyer, Treasurer Phil Angelides and Controller Steve Westly.

Of course, this should not be a big surprise. Reiner has a much more liberal image that any of his potential competitors. But in the end, I believe he is too liberal to get elected. That 20% support he now touts represents the most leftist voters in California. And there just aren’t enough of them, who don’t like the Governor Schwarzenegger for Reiner to get the win.

True National Security: America's Christian Foundation

Many have heard that America is a Christian nation, but are not comfortable explaining why a Christian form of government is needed to secure life, liberty, and property for people of all faiths.

THIS SATURDAY, February 26, from 8:15am to noon, I will be participating in a seminar to put on by Public Awareness Ministries. It will feature nationally-known Christian history experts and teachers James Rose (President, American Christian History Institute) and Katherine Dang (President, Philomath Foundation). Keep Your Hands Off Marriage Tour

In Case you are wondering why I haven't been posting, I have been on a statewide press tour with Campaign for Children and Families against Mark Leno's AB 19, which would create same sex marriage in California. (Story Here)

Keep in mind that in 2000, California voters approved Prop. 22, which stated that

“Only marriage between a man and a woman is valid or recognized in California”

Well Leno is attempting to get around the bill by saying that the Proposition only addressed marriages performed outside the state and does not speak to the legalization of same sex marriage within the state.

Assemblyman Mark Leno, D-San Francisco, who introduced the bill, co-authored by Assembly Speaker Fabian Nœ–ez, said it would not amend or modify Prop. 22.

"It amends Section 300 of the California Family Code," he said in a telephone conversation from his Sacramento office.

Section 300 reads, "Marriage is a personal relation arising out of a civil contract between a man and a woman, to which the consent of the parties capable of making that contract is necessary."

Leno's bill would amend that phrase to define marriage as a "personal relation arising out of a civil contract between two persons."

He said Prop. 22 would not be affected because that refers to marriages contracted outside of the state and does not require California to recognize those marriages.

Leno’s bill will essentially remove a man and a woman from marriage! This is deception of the worst kind!

These Democrats think the voters are stupid! Well…. Are you!!!!!

"Keep Your Hands Off Marriage" Tour

"The votes of the people should not be overturned,'' CCF representative Craig DeLuz said. "If legislators reject the values of the people who put them in office, then we will take them out of office.''

"This is not a civil rights issue," DeLuz said. "This is about marriage and this is about the people's vote."

DeLuz, a father of two who has been married for 12 years, said many opponents of same-sex marriage believe it's crucial for a child to be raised with both a father and a mother.

'If You Don't Take A Job As A Prostitute, We Can Stop Your Benefits'

In Germany, where prostitution is legal, an unemployed information technology professional is being told that she must either accept a job as a prostitute or lose her unemployment benefits. THIS IS NOT A JOKE!

Imagine your wife or daughter being told that if they don’t take a job selling their bodies for money, they will not be eligible to receive unemployment benefits, even though they paid into the system.

My good friend David Yow posted in his blog an article from the News Telegraph :

"There is now nothing in the law to stop women from being sent into the sex industry," said Merchthild Garweg, a lawyer from Hamburg who specializes in such cases. "The new regulations say that working in the sex industry is not immoral any more, and so jobs cannot be turned down without a risk to benefits."

Whenever we try to set any standards for morality and decency people say “You can’t legislate morality!” or “You shouldn’t try to force your values on others.” Well here is a perfect example of how a lack of standards impedes on the morals of others.

And while you may think this will never happen here in the United States of America, keep in mind that nobody thought any of these things could happen here either:

-Employers being fined $150,000 for not hiring a man in a dress.

-12 year old girls being taken from school and given abortions without their parent’s even knowing about it.

-Pornography being made available to children in public libraries.

Pro-life Democrats Making Progress? Don't Be Fooled!

Democrats are making attempts to woo back some of their more conservative members by becoming more "Pro-Life" friendly.

But don't let their rhetoric (aka Bull Excrement) fool you. They have no intentions of changing their abortion on demand policies.

State Senator Carol Migden said the following to the San Francisco Chronicle:

"safe, legal and rare,'' Migden said, should be the talking point for Democrats. "We hope it doesn't happen, and we want good school counseling programs'' to prevent it, she said, "so it's not a philosophical shift, it's a change in language and a desire to unify the message.''

Keep in mind that, Democrats here in California and in Washington DC have made no attempt to make abortion either safe or rare.

As a matter of fact, in California parents are having to fight just to be informed when their children leave school to get an abortion. Additionally, Attorney General Bill Lockeyer is suing the federal government for withholding funding to states that force medical providers to provide abortions against their will. This includes California (just in case you hadn’t already figured that out.) And a few weeks ago, the California State Assembly passed a resolution celebrating a woman’s right to choose (to kill her unborn child.)

It doesn’t sound to me like they’re trying to make abortions safe or rare. But, as the Bible says, “By their fruit, you shall know them.”

Sex And Nudity On MTV?...I'm Shocked!!!!

CBS News:

"During one week last March, the watchdog Parents Television Council said it counted 3,056 flashes of nudity or sexual situations and 2,881 verbal references to sex."

And if you don’t think that this is affecting our kids, spend one day with junior high school age kids who watch MTV. I have and I can tell you that we should all be deeply concerned by the attitudes and behaviors with which these young people are being programmed.

I for one have contacted my cable company and requested that they remove MTV in protest. Not that I am into sensorship. If adults want to watch this, it is thier right. But this stuff is on all day, everyday for anyone and everyone (including children) to see.

They might as well call it STV- Sex Television.

Over a buffet lunch of pizza and salads, the legislators exchanged gift bags. Laird offered up a hemp T-shirt, from his home district of Santa Cruz.

Assemblyman Lloyd Levine (D-Van Nuys) announced he was giving away a video reflective of his district: the San Fernando Valley, home to the adult film industry. In the end, he presented an alternative: a DVD of a film with a tamer rating.

Nicole Parra (D-Hanford) walked out of the lunchroom with her arms full of brown paper and tape, mumbling about a broken piñata.

As you can see, Democrat leadership is not just "Hangin" They're "HANGIN!!!!"

Blacks Choosing Moral Values Over Party Values

At a time when California Republican Party Leadership is trying to get away from socially conservative issues, claiming that they are too divisive. Black pastors, who have traditionally ranged from liberal to non-partisan seem to be taking a hold of them.

The Los Angeles Times is reporting of efforts by Black Pastors to encourage their congregations and other pastors to fight against the legalization of same sex marriage and to support candidates for office who’s policies are more in line with their Christian moral values.

Black Democrat leadership is reacting with concern and confusion about how to stop this movement.

"I am frightened by what is happening," said Rep. Major R. Owens, an 11-term Democratic congressman from New York who has been conferring with colleagues in the Congressional Black Caucus. "Our party is in grave danger. This Republican movement is going to expand exponentially unless we do something."

Their response will inevitably be to try and frame their issues ( i.e. redistribution of wealth, expansion of abortion & redefining marriage) as moral issues. But they clearly lack the wisdom to understand a very basic truth.

Moral Values without morality has no value.
