The story of Oscar Grant pales in comparison...

For those of you who have not heard about the tragic slaying of Oscar Grant and the ensuing protests and unrest that has followed, let me tell you that it is truly a sad tale. We should all pray that justice is done in this case.

But I am even more saddened that these same protestors and politicians continue to allow 1,200 African American Children to have their lives snuffed out every day. Our children are targeted for profit. The politicians hold ceremonies honoring the slaughter of our children. Heck, the government is the single largest financial supporter of this killing spree! I’m talking about the #1 killer of African Americans: more than three times Aids, violent crimes, accidents, cancer and heart disease all put together… I’m talking about Abortion.

Next week liberals will be falling all over themselves praising the passage of Rove v. Wade, the landmark Supreme Court Decision which declared a woman’s right to an abortion to be a constitutionally protected right. However, they will fail to mention that a black baby is now more than three times as likely to have their life taken in the womb than a white baby or that since 1973, abortion has reduced the black population by over 25 percent. How about this one- Every three days, more African-Americans are killed by abortion than have been killed by the Ku Klux Klan in its entire history.

These statistics are no accident. Rather, they are the result of an ongoing effort at population control better known as Eugenics. Planned Parenthood’s founder, Margret Sanger herself recruited black pastors to help market abortion in the black community. “We do not want word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population, and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members (November 1939 memorandum entitled "Suggestions for the Negro Project,”).

I don’t offer this commentary to downplay the tragedy of what happened to Oscar Grant. But while we are all fighting to make sure that such an outrage never occurs again, maybe we could do just a little something to stop a practice that is even more outrageous. No matter how you feel about a woman's right to choose, this attempt to thin out the population by targeting black babies should have you up in arms.

Maybe if we captured these deaths on a camera phone, people would take notice that Plan Parenthood has achieved what the KKK could only have dreamed of!

Speaker Bass decries racist comments by LGTB community

During an interview with the Sacramento Bee editorial staff, California Assembly Speaker Karen Bass commented on the “hostility” that the LGTB community has shown towards blacks after the passage of Prop 8, which defined marriage as being between a man and a woman.

During a videotaped interview, Bass told of how blacks who actually voted against the measure were confronted with “racial epithets” when they showed up to protest the vote. She went on to point out that some were so fearful they even left because “…they were threatened.”

The Speaker went on to say, “I was appalled at how quickly some members of the LGTB leadership went there…”

Well Madam Speaker, they did. But I understand your confusion. I too thought they were No on H8?

(I stand corrected!!!! In an earlier version of this post, I stated that the quote from the article was not the same as the one in the video. I was wrong the video is quoted correctly in the article. My apologies to the Sacramento Bee!.)

Star Jones Lynches Bill O'Reilly for saying he wouldn't lynch Michelle Obama...Huh?

Here’s the deal…

On his radio show, Bill O’Reilly was responding to a caller regarding some recent allegations against Michelle Obama, wife of presidential candidate, Barak Obama. O’Reilly responded to the caller declaring that:

“…I DON'T WANT TO GO ON A LYNCHING PARTY AGAINST MICHELLE OBAMA UNLESS THERE'S EVIDENCE, HARD FACTS, THAT SAY THIS IS HOW THE WOMAN REALLY FEELS. IF THAT'S HOW SHE REALLY FEELS -- THAT AMERICA IS A BAD COUNTRY OR A FLAWED NATION, WHATEVER -- THEN THAT'S LEGIT. WE'LL TRACK IT DOWN.”

Well in response to his comments former TV personality Star Jones felt it necessary to write an open letter to her fans on her website in which she stated:

I'M SICK TO DEATH OF PEOPLE LIKE FOX NEWS HOST, BILL O'REILLY AND HIS ILK THINKING THAT HE CAN USE A RACIAL SLUR AGAINST A BLACK WOMAN WHO COULD BE THE NEXT FIRST LADY OF THE UNITED STATES, GIVE A HALF-ASSED APOLOGY AND NOT BE TAKEN TO TASK AND CALLED ON HIS CRAP.

Where was the racial slur?

He was saying that he did not want to join the rest of the right wing media (what little of it there is) in going after Michelle Obama without some proof that she had said or done something wrong. He wanted here to have her day in court.

Back in the days of the “wild west” people used to bring together mobs to go after and punish people whom they believed had done wrong. These mobs were not concerned with justice, they simply wanted vengeance. We used to call these mobs "Lynching Parties". And they did not only lynch black people!

Like most liberals who attack conservatives, Star Jones is pretending to play mind reader; acting like she has a crystal ball that allows her know the motivations behind what someone says. She then plays on people's fears and biases (in this case black people) to make a declarative statement that has little to know basis in fact.

It is a stretch to say that O' Reilly was advocating for the "lynching" of Michelle Obama. And it is absurd to say that he said it the way he did because she was black.

Let's not be so quick to judge the motives of others when they say something questionable. Bill O'Reilly wasn't willing to "lynch" Michelle Obama without giving her a chance. So let's return the favor and not be so quick to lynch him.

Hate from the Pulpit

Senator Barak Obama’s quest for the presidency has been in major turmoil over the last few weeks. These problems have stemmed from controversial comments made by his former pastor, Jeremiah Wright. These statements were made from the pulpit of his church which Obama attended for over 20 years. For those of you who have not heard these comments, let me just say that they were incendiary, anti-American, racist and needless to say, not very Christ-like. (Click Here to see the video)

But the fact that Jeremiah Wright would make such hateful comments doesn’t surprise me at all. The truth is, he is not the only “Man of God” that has chosen to use his platform to advance an agenda that has nothing to do with God.

Just this week the San Francisco Chronicle wrote about sermon delivered by a Rev. Amos Brown on Easter Sunday. According to the Chronicle:

The Rev. Amos Brown's Easter sermon at the Third Baptist Church of San Francisco didn't have much to do with Jesus' crucifixion or resurrection from the dead and instead covered everything from skyrocketing gas prices and the subprime mortgage crisis to race relations in the United States and presidential politics.

During his fiery Sunday morning speech, he called President Bush a "one-eyed man," told the predominantly African American congregation that the country is as segregated now as it was 50 years ago and said "America is running on fumes right now ... we are on the wrong road."

So, instead of using the occasion to recognize the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ; Rev. Brown chose to berate the President of the United States, and declare the recent criticism of Obama to be a conspiracy hatched by white America. I must have missed that part of the Easter Story…

Like the Pharasis in Jesus’s time, Jeremiah Wright and Amos Brown have taken to perverting their roles as Shepards, leading their congregants not to Christ, but to a modern day “Black Nationalism” that is based in hatred and mistrust of America; White America, specifically.

Now this is not to say that these men are not entitled to express their opinions. But God holds those who represent him to a higher standard.

I will not go as far as saying the Barak Obama agrees with all of his pastor’s views. But I do believe that his decision to sit under the teachings of a man who possesses such heartfelt views does raise legitimate questions about his judgment.

And his lack of judgment in the selection of his pastor should serve as an indication of how he will go about selecting his advisors, should he become president.

Guilty by Association?

You had to know that I was going to post this!

Now I am not going to spend a lot of time trying to tie this guy to Barak Obama or insinuate that he thinks this way as well. There are enough pundits out there doing this. But I will raise the question about whether one should question his judgment when it comes to following a man who would preach such hate.

And before you get started….By any objective standard, this is hate speech. If you doubt it, ask yourself this question, “If a white pastor were saying the same thing about black people, would you consider it hate speech?” Barak Obama himself has worked to distance himself from his pastor’s comments by comparing his former “Man of God” to a crazy uncle with whom he does not always agree.

Well maybe you can’t choose your family. But you can chose with whom you chose to associate. And you most certainly can choose your pastor. Clearly, Mr. Obama chose this man to be his pastor; the man who married him to his wife, dedicated his children and was his spiritual teacher 20 years. One has to wonder how much his views line up with his pastor’s views and whether someone with that mindset should be president.

Is racism a factor in Democratic race for the nomination

As Obama rolls to an easy victory in the Mississippi primary (61%-37%) one can’t help but notice the racial divide in the party of tolerance and racial equality. 70% of white democrats chose Hillary, while 90% of black voters supported Obama.

According the Associated Press:

CONTEST POLARIZED BY RACE

In the Democratic race, Mississippi voters were strongly polarized by race, even more than in most other states that voted this year. Seventy percent of whites voted for Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, while 92 percent of blacks voted for Sen. Barack Obama. Clinton won among both white women, a group she normally carries, and white men, a key swing group in this campaign. Clinton won the votes of 68 percent of white men, one of her best showings to date. About half of the voters in the Democratic primary were black.

A quarter of whites said race was important to their votes, and they voted overwhelmingly for Clinton. Thirty-seven percent of blacks said race was important to their votes and nearly all voted for Obama.

25% of white voters said race was an important factor and they almost all voted for Hillary… a white woman- no racism here! And 37% of blacks voters said that race was an important factor in who they voted for… a black man… no racism here either!

Has Obamania infected the Main Stream Media?

Before the "You are being mean to Barak!" comments start flowing from youObamaniacs, let me say that this is posted in fun. Because it is funny!

But on a more serious note: It is hard to deny the love affair that the main stream media has with him. But as with their once heated romance with John McCain, the media loves to build people up only to eventually tear them down again. But hey, don't they say that "All is fair in love and war."

NAACP head is paid by tribes, backs their plan- Conflict of Interest?

Last week the Sacramento Bee reported that Alice Huffman, President of the NAACP’s California Conference was serving as a paid consultant for those who support the Indian Gaming compacts, while at the same time advocating for these compacts as the head of the state NAACP. And according to the Bee this is not the first time.

California Assembly honors man convicted of torturing black women

Dr. Ron Karanga, the founder of Kwannza was honored today on the floor of the California Legislature during their annual Black History Month observance. But what they failed to mention was the fact that Dr. Karanga is a convicted felon who was sent to prison for torturing two black women who were members of his cult, United Slaves.

In my post “Kwannza Claus is Coming to Town” I detailed the crimes of which Karanga was convicted.

A May 14, 1971, article in the Los Angeles Times described the testimony of one of them: "Deborah Jones, who once was given the Swahili title of an African queen, said she and Gail Davis were whipped with an electrical cord and beaten with a karate baton after being ordered to remove their clothes. She testified that a hot soldering iron was placed in Miss Davis' mouth and placed against Miss Davis' face and that one of her own big toes was tightened in a vise. Karenga, head of US, also put detergent and running hoses in their mouths, she said."

While I firmly believe that people can change, I find it absurd that we would honor a man who is guilty of such a crime and has shown no repentance what so ever. The irony of this whole matter is that the man who invented Kawanzza, which means “first fruits of the harvest" in Swahili would want us to ignore his fruits.

The Bible says “By their fruits you shall know them.” and that “every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.”

The New Underground Railroad is looking for conductors

The New Underground Railroad started as the result of numerous conversations that have taken place with Black leaders from across the country. It was started with the goal of
dispelling the Myth that Blacks are incapable of being success without government programs. It will expose the Democrat Party’s legacy of bigotry and hatred.

Over time we have invited several likeminded black thinkers from across the nation to contribute to the discussion. Well, now the time has come for us to expand our reach and ask you, our loyal readers to join the fight to free our people from the psychological slavery of liberalism.

If you would like to be considered to be added as an official Conductor for the New Underground Railroad (Click Here)

Please be sure to include the following information for consideration:

1. The name and url of your blog or website.
2. Your name and email address
3. Your city and state of residence
4. A brief description of you political leanings ( Moderate to conservative commentators welcome. Liberals need not apply!)

Abortion = Modern Day Genocide!

While many celebrate the passage of Row v. Wade they ignore the silent genocide that has killed twice as many African Americans as AIDS, Violent Crime, Accidents, Cancer and Heart Disease combined.

Consider the following facts taken from abortion providers themselves:

• Abortion has killed more than 13 million African American babies, making it the number one cause of death for Blacks.

• Since 1973, abortion has reduced the black population by over 25 percent.

• Every three days, more African-Americans are killed by abortion than have been killed by the Ku Klux Klan in its entire history.

• A black baby is more than three times as likely to be killed in the womb than a white baby.

• Planned Parenthood operates the nation's largest chain of abortion clinics and almost 80 percent of its facilities are located in minority neighborhoods.

• About 13 percent of American women are black, but they submit to over 35 percent of the abortions.

And while many will refute the claim that these facts point to an organized effort at genocide, the intent of these efforts are revealed in the words of the founder of Planned Parenthood, Margaret Sanger.

• It [charity] encourages the healthier and more normal sections of the world to shoulder the burden of unthinking and indiscriminate fecundity of others; which brings with it, as I think the reader must agree, a dead weight of human waste. (From Margaret Sanger’s Early Writings 1922)

• Always to me any aroused group was a good group, and therefore I accepted an invitation to talk to the women's branch of the Ku Klux Klan..." (Margaret Sanger’s Autobiography)

• The minister’s work is also important and he should be trained, perhaps by the Federation as to our ideals and the goal that we hope to reach. We do not want word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population, and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members (November 1939 memorandum entitled "Suggestions for the Negro Project,”).

THE FACTS DON’T LIE!

The Celebration the passage of Roe vs. Wade is a celebration of the modern day genocide of African Americans. Through abortion, Margaret Sanger and Planned Parenthood have accomplished what the Klu Klux Klan could have only dreamed of… GOVERNMENT FUNDED GENOCIDE!

Lawmaker Tells Blacks To 'Get Over' Slavery

During debate on a state resolution formally apologizing to African Americans for slavery, a Virginia state legislator suggested that Blacks should simply “Get Over” slavery.

The Associated Press reported:

RICHMOND, Va. -- A state legislator said black people "should get over" slavery and questioned whether Jews should apologize "for killing Christ," drawing denunciations Tuesday from stunned colleagues.

Del. Frank D. Hargrove, 79, made his remarks in opposition to a measure that would apologize on the state's behalf to the descendants of slaves.

In an interview published Tuesday in The Daily Progress of Charlottesville, Hargrove said slavery ended nearly 140 years ago with the Civil War and added that "our black citizens should get over it."

The newspaper also quoted him as saying, "are we going to force the Jews to apologize for killing Christ?"

Black lawmakers swiftly denounced Hargrove's comments.

"When somebody tells me I should just get over slavery, I can only express my emotion by projecting that I am appalled, absolutely appalled," said Del. Dwight C. Jones, head of the Legislative Black Caucus.

Del. David L. Englin also criticized Hargrove's remarks, recalling that his grandparents were driven from their homes in Poland "by people who believed that as Jews, we killed Christ."
When Hargrove rose to speak, he told Englin he didn't care about Englin's religion. "I think your skin was a little too thin," Hargrove said as lawmakers gasped and groaned.

Now while I will agree that many black leaders spend way too much time encouraging our people to play the “Victim” role. This guy went a bit too far.

While slavery did end 140 years ago, segregation and Jim Crowe laws continues well into the lat 1960s and early 70s. In fact, I am part of the first generation to grow up “equal under the law.” And so the stigma of past discrimination still lingers with many in my generation, as it was passed down form our parents to us.

So it is easy to say “Get over it”, but actually getting over it is not that easy. I put it this way in another piece that I wrote:

At 36 years old, I am a part of the first generation to grow up after the passage of the 1964 Civil Rights Act. So unlike my father, or his father before him, I was born “Equal under the law.” But that did not mean that I was born in a system that promoted equality. 400 years of slavery, the subsequent 100 years of Jim Crow and the liberal lead welfare/entitlement state did much to weaken the black man and destroy his family and community. These systems were designed to keep blacks down and that is exactly what they did. The reason many blacks have a victim mentality is that not too long ago, they were victims.

Take my father for example. He left the Air force after World War II a fully trained and certified electrician. But he could only get a job washing cars. You see, the unions would not let him join their ranks because his father was not a union member. Never mind the fact that at the time my grandfather was working, they did not allow blacks to join the union. My mother experienced Whites only drinking fountains and lunch counters. She remembers “Bull” Conner turning police dogs and fire hoses on innocent blacks like it was yesterday. These experiences are not easily dismissed by those who experience them. They play a major role in shaping one’s world view. For my parents, everything in society told them that it was was government and whites who were in control…not them. And this is the world view that they have passed on to us, their children. It was their reality.

My reality is somewhat different. I can eat where I want. I can go where I want. The law states that I can not be denied any opportunity because of the color of my skin. And there are teams of lawyers, judges and politicians willing to fight to protect these rights. There are no laws preventing me from starting a business, getting a good education or supporting the political candidate of my choosing. This is part of my reality; the only part that many conservatives are willing to acknowledge.

I also realize that there are those whom I will encounter that will prejudge me based on the color of my skin, whether they admit it or not. Racism is not dead, just diminished. I also must acknowledge that the 1964 Civil Rights Act did not undo the 500 years of indoctrination and brain washing black Americans underwent. Nor did it create a level playing field in regards to asset wealth.

There were “The Haves” and “The Have Nots” and nothing happened to change the fact that blacks would be overwhelmingly in the category of “The Have Nots.” This meant that they would have much less capitol to start businesses, purchase homes or to pass on to future generations. As hard as my parents worked and as much they tried, they did not have a home or any other significant assets to pass on to their children. This is too often the norm in black America. But this is also part of my reality; the only part that many liberals are willing to acknowledge.

I don’t believe that we will ever truly address the issue of race in America until blacks and whites; liberals and conservatives are willing to accept the truth about where we have come from and where we are now. Whites cannot celebrate creating equality in the rules of the game after attempting to knee-cap the other team’s players and spotting themselves 20 points. Along the same lines, we cannot be so preoccupied with the unfairness of how things started that we spend all our time complaining to referees, thus letting the other team run up the score. This is exactly what has been taking place the last 40 years.
Not that Jessie Jackson and Jesse Lee Peterson haven't offered considerable subtance in dealing with the very serious issue of race and racism in America, but acting as race-baiting cheerleaders for their respective teams detracts from all the good w0rk in which they are involved. How can America have a frank and honest discussion about race as long as people are willing to feed into the hatred and resentment that is so deeply rooted in our society on both sides?

As for my perspective; I will say this. Being black is part of who I am. But it does not dictate who I am or who I will become. And while I cannot control the fairness of the circumstances around me, I can control how I react to those circumstances. I can choose to learn from them or whine about them. As I approach each challenge I can choose see it as a stumbling block or a stepping stone; as an obstacle or a building block. I can choose to fight the fight of ignorance and poverty or I can pawn in off on my children for them to fight it. These are my choices.

Social Insecurity- A Bad Investment For Black America

The most misrepresented government program in modern history is the social welfare retirement program, better known as Social Security. Originally set up as a program to care for single widows with children, it has become nothing more than the worlds largest pyramid scheme. And little do we realize, the average Black family is at the bottom of the pyramid!

A 2004 study done by the Heritage Foundation points out that because life expectancies and incomes differ for varying segments of society, so does the amount each group can expect to receive from Social Security. And what group has proven to be the biggest victim of the Social Security Scam... African Americans.

"…the most tragic examples of Social Security's reverse-Robin Hood effect occur in congressional districts heavily populated by African-American workers. Here we see negative rates of return so high that one wonders how a hard-working young man in an inner-city neighborhood in Baltimore, New Orleans, Atlanta or New York City can ever move up the socio-economic ladder."

For example:

"The most senior Democrat on the House Ways and Means Committee, the vociferous Charles Rangel (Harlem), and his thoughtful colleague, William Jefferson (New Orleans) , will have to defend this arrangement in spite of near-confiscatory rates of return of negative 4.5% for young male workers in their districts."

Now this is not to say that this negative return is caused by their being Black. However, there are many factors that go into determining how much one will actually get back from Social Security. And those factors tend to work against the average African American.

Take income for example. One’s lifetime earnings (at least that portion that SSI taxes are levied against) is probably the biggest factor in determining one’s monthly SSI payment upon retirement. This tends to work against Blacks because our average lifetime income is much less than that of whites. Higher unemployment in the Black community also contributes to decreased lifetime income and thus, decreased SSI benefit levels.

Another factor that is working against Blacks has to do with retirement age. On average, Blacks are more likely to have jobs requiring physical labor. This type of work places additional stress on one’s body. Often requiring them to retire earlier or go on disability. This means that they are less likely to work until the statutory age at which one receives full SSI retirement benefits. How often have you seen a 65 year old carpenter, garbage man or welder? Not often, I’ll bet.

A similar factor that results in Blacks getting less is average life expectancy. Blacks, Black males in particular, have a much shorter life expectancy than do whites. With an average life expectancy of only 62 years old, the average Black male won’t even make it to the statutory retirement age of 65. So what happens to the money he puts into the system? You’re gonna love this!

If he is unmarried, all the money he paid into the system becomes a windfall to the government. And if he is married, his wife must choose between his SSI benefits and her own, which ever is more. You see, she cannot get both! Even if both she and her husband had been paying into the system for 40 years, she must choose the greater of the two benefit amounts and the rest is a windfall to the government spending. And that is what Democrats are fighting to protect… their spending.

For years, Democrats and Republicans have taken money from Social Security to pay for their precious pork barrel programs and have left nothing more than a worthless IOU in its place. The “Lock Box” that Democrats speak of, does not exist. It has never existed. The money you are paying in today is going to pay for those who are on SSI today, plus a few bloated government programs.

Democrats are in complete denial. But Republicans have seen the writing on the wall. As the “Baby Boomers” prepare to retire, the chickens are coming home to roost. Because there will be a dramatic increase in the number of retirees and it is anticipated that they will live much longer than their parents, it is projected that by 2042 Social Security will be bankrupt. That is why Republicans are proposing a partial privatization of Social Security. It is the best way to end this absurd practice and restore equity to the system for all Americans.

How does it end the government shell game? By creating individual lock boxes. Each worker who pays into the system will have an account that belongs to him/her. It will no longer be a part of the general fund and thus will not be available for congress to spend. No more IOUs!

How does it help Blacks? It will take the money once was unlikely to ever be seen again, and place it into lock box, so that they can pass that money on to their children. For many, this will constitute most of the wealth that they will have to pass on to future generations. Additionally, because this money will be invested it will earn far greater return what they are paying into the current failing system.

Retirement protection, wealth accumulation and forcing the government to live within its means are all byproducts of privatization. No one will be forced to pay into a system that won’t be there for them and all people would be able to retire in dignity. This will make for a stronger Social Security System and a stronger America.

Congressional Black Caucus gives Jefferson standing ovation

The following article was posted on the CNN Political Ticker:

Congressional Black Caucus gives Jefferson standing ovation

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- On the same day that the 110th Democratic-led Congress convenes with a plan to immediately pass lobbyist and ethics reforms, the Congressional Black Caucus Thursday gave a standing ovation to Rep. William Jefferson, the Louisiana Democrat who faces an FBI probe into bribery allegations.

"The haters... and negative nabobs...the people who spoke against him couldn't prevail against the people who spoke for him," Dr. Michael Eric Dyson, master of ceremonies for the CBC's celebratory event, said Thursday morning.

Incoming House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-California, led the charge to remove Jefferson from the House Ways and Means Committee last spring and has said she will not consider reinstating him to the powerful post until he is cleared of all allegations.

The FBI is currently conducting an investigation that alleges Jefferson accepted $100,000 from a telecommunications businessman -- $90,000 of which was later recovered in the congressman's freezer.

Rally Addresses Upcoming Election

It is rare that a Republican urges the overthrowing of the government, but Craig DeLuz did just that recently when he spoke during a voter awareness drive hosted by the Sacramento NAACP.

Voting is a form of non-violent revolution, said DeLuz, former chairman of the California Black Republican Council and brother of former chapter president David DeLuz.

“You can overthrow the government," he said. "If you’re not doing your job, we will vote you out.”

LA Times Plays the Race Card. But It's not going to work!

In a feeble effort to portray Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger as a racist, the Los Angles Times released an excerpt from a tape that was recorded during a private meeting.

(Click Here to Listen to the tape)

The LA Times goes on to detail the closed door conversation:

They move on to Garcia, a Cathedral City lawmaker who is the daughter of Puerto Rican immigrants. On her website, Garcia is described as "born on the Lower East Side of New York to teen parents."

"Bonnie Garcia is great," Kennedy says on the recording. "She's a ball-buster. She's great. Is she Puerto Rican?"

"She seems to me like Cuban," Schwarzenegger says.

"She's not Mexican," Kennedy replies.

"No," the governor agrees.

"But she said something," Kennedy says, "and I thought, I thought she was Puerto Rican."

Then Schwarzenegger offers a theory.

"She maybe is Puerto Rican or the same thing as Cuban. I mean, they are all very hot. They have the, you know, part of the black blood in them and part of the Latino blood in them that together makes it."

My first question is how did they get this tape? Who was recording it? Well it appears that from time to time the governor records some of his meetings so that his speech writers can capture his speech patterns and language styles on policy issues. So, he does not record all of his conversations. But this was clearly meant for internal use and must have been leaked by someone inside the administration.

My second question is what are people supposed to be so offended about? Are Latinos and Blacks supposed to be up in arms because the governor said we are hot? I AM HOT!!! And so is Assemblywoman Garcia!

I'll tell you what does offend me though... The fact that the liberals like the LA Times and gubenatorial candidate Phil Angelides would think so little of Blacks and Latinos to believe that such trivial garbage is all that we care about.

Even the most liberal of liberal Blacks aren't falling for this one. In a statement released by Dr Amos Brown, the President of the San Francisco NAACP he stated:

Anyone who knows the Governor as I do shares my deep offense to Mr. Angelides' calculated political attack on the Governor today.

"Mr. Angelides' record of divisive and partisan politics stands in sharp contrast to this Governor's leadership and commitment to all communities."

While I do not agree with the governor on everything, he has done more to empower people of color within his administration and in the community than any of his recent predicesors. He has appointed more people of color (Blacks and Latinos in particular) than Gray Davis ever did. And unlike Davis, he has actually given them the authority necessary to do their jobs.

But you won't see the Times reporting on that; because it actually portrays a Republican in a good light. Not media bias here, eh?

Jessie Helms is back! But this time he's Black!

I thought this commercial was a skit from some comedy show until I saw who sponsored it… Vernon Robinson, a Black congressional candidate in North Carolina.I had a chance to meet Vernon a few years ago when he was running for congress. His campaign slogan at the time was “Jessie Helms is back. But this time He’s Black!”

Once again, another great example of a race pimp for the right! (Video Here)

Yes, I said it! Just those he mocks on the left (Jessie Jackson and Al Shaprton), Vernon Robinson is nothing more than a glory hound seeking to use the vast racial divide in this country to elevate himself to icon status. Except unlike Sharpton and Jackson, he is pimpin’ for the right.

Like I wrote of Jessie Lee Peterson in my piece “Jesse Lee Peterson & Jessie Jackson- Pimpin Race for the Right and the Left

His goal is not to tell the truth, but to stir up racial tensions by telling conservatives that liberals and blacks are what is wrong with this country.

And like Peterson, he does shed light on some very real issues, but the manner in which he does it is more about self-aggrandizement and grand standing than about really solvin problems.

If Black Republicans are to ever be taken seriously it will be by holding up examples like JC Watts, Lynn Swan, Ken Blackwell and Bishop Keith Butler as examples of who we are.

Memo to Vernon Robinson: Leave the comedy skits to the comedians!

To fight Jessie and the unions, Walmart hires their own Civil Rights Pimp

Former aide to Dr. Martin Luther King and two-term Atlanta Mayor Andrew Young is now working for Walmart as a paid corporate cheerleader. And while I know he’s getting paid, at least he is working for the good guys.

Associated Press is reporting:

At the grand opening of a Wal-Mart in a black suburb of Atlanta, civil rights leader Andrew Young danced with store clerks, bouncing to the song "We Are Family."

He also posed with a $1 million check from the company — a donation for a memorial to the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. to be built on the National Mall in Washington.

Young took part in the pep rally in his new position as a paid corporate cheerleader for Wal-Mart — a role that has perplexed some of his longtime civil rights colleagues, who have all but accused him of going over to the enemy.

Once again, a black man decides to stray from the liberal path and other blacks are quick with the verbal lynching.

The Rev. Joseph Lowery, known as the dean of the civil rights movement, said Young — the 74-year-old former Atlanta mayor and U.N. ambassador — is acting as a "lone wolf" in working for Wal-Mart.

"Maybe he knows something that other advocates for economic justice don't," Lowery said in a statement.

I’ll tell you what he knows…. People can’t shop at stores that union bosses have helped close down. And oh yeah… People also want to work!

On Wednesday, Young hugged customers, signed autographs and posed for pictures with local dignitaries while singing Wal-Mart's praises. He cut the ribbon at a store that replaces an abandoned Kmart that closed two decades ago in the mostly black neighborhood.

The new store has received more than 8,000 applicants for 500 jobs. Young said he expects new housing and more business to follow Wal-Mart's lead and come to the suburban area that is home to some of the country's most affluent blacks but has stagnated in attracting jobs.

This same sort of response occurred at a Walmart just outside the City of Chicago where 25,000 people applied for 325 jobs. And just like those who are attacking Young, the liberals on the Chicago City Council refused to support Walmart and refused to allow the store to be located within the city, despite the fact that they were providing much needed jobs and generous philanthropy to the community. I guess towing the union line is more important than helping the community or helping people poor people find jobs.

But I have one question…. If Walmart is so abusive of their employees, why are so many people (in liberal communities mind you) flocking to work for them?
