The Truth about Azatlan- From their own mouths! (Video Here)

I'm not going to vouch for the credibility of the organization that put together this video. But I do know that the words spoken on it represent the sentiment of those who support Azatlan and the effort at La Reconquista (The Reconquest).

Prominent Elected Latinos seen on the video include:

Fabian Nunez- Speaker of the California State Assembly

"You can be a revolutionary as you want to be. You can be a Chicano nationalist. You can believe in Azatlan."

Art Torres- Chairman of the California Democratic Party & Former State Senator

"When I was in the senate 'Why do you fight so hard for Affirmative Action ' I'ld tell my white colleagues 'Because you're gonna need it.'

Antonio Villiaregosa- Mayor of Los Angeles & Former Speaker of the California Assembly

"It is not enough to elect Latino leadership. If they're supporting legislation that denies the undocumented they don't belong in office. They don't belong here."

Joe Baca- United States House of Representatives & Former California State Senator

"The Latinos are coming! The Latinos are coming!"

"We can’t' go back. It's a civil war."

_________________________

And as far as I know, none of these elected officials has ever publicly explained their overt support of such an effort to repatriate California and other states back to Mexico.

Bill would Allow Illegals to attend California Community Colleges for FREE!!!

State Senator Gill Cedillo, infamous for his effort to give drivers licenses to illegal immigrants now wants to allow them to get grants provided to UC and CSU students. And would make them eligible to receive the Community College Board of Governor’s Fee Waiver that would allow them to attend Community College in California for free.

SB 160 which passed the California State Senate on a party line vote will be heard in the Assembly Higher Education committee this week. This is on top of AB 540 which was passed several years ago allowing illegal immigrants to pay instate tuition rates, costing taxpayers millions of dollars each year. Apparently Mr. Cedillo thinks that we should further subsidize their education by taking money away from students who are citizens or legal residents.

Ok…Let’s be fair. I vote that we extend the same rights and benefits to illegals in the US that Mexico extends to illegals in their country. These details are outlined in the Assembly Republican Caucus Analysis:

To place this bill into proper perspective here are excerpts from an article that ran in the Washington Times on 4/6/06 titled “The Mexican Solution,” by Frank Gaffney, Jr.:

Under . . . [the Mexican] constitution first adopted in 1917 and subsequently amended, Mexico deals harshly not only with illegal immigrants. It treats even legal immigrants, naturalized citizens and foreign investors in ways that would, by the standards of those who carp about U.S. immigration policy, have to be called "racist" and "xenophobic."

For example, according to an official translation published by the Organization of American States, the Mexican constitution includes the following restrictions:

• Pursuant to Article 33, "Foreigners may not in any way participate in the political affairs of the country." This ban applies, among other things, to participation in demonstrations and the expression of opinions in public about domestic politics like those much in evidence in Los Angeles, New York and elsewhere in recent days.

Equal employment rights are denied to immigrants, even legal ones. Article 32: "Mexicans shall have priority over foreigners under equality of circumstances for all classes of concessions and for all employment, positions or commissions of the Government in which the status of citizenship is not indispensable."

• Jobs for which Mexican citizenship is considered "indispensable" include, pursuant to Article 32, bans on foreigners, immigrants and even naturalized citizens of Mexico serving as military officers, Mexican-flagged ship and airline crew, and chiefs of seaports and airports.

Article 55 denies immigrants the right to become federal lawmakers. A Mexican congressman or senator must be "a Mexican citizen by birth." Article 91 further stipulates that immigrants may never aspire to become cabinet officers, as they are required to be Mexican by birth. Article 95 says the same about Supreme Court justices.

In accordance with Article 130, immigrants -- even legal ones -- may not become members of the clergy, either.

Foreigners, to say nothing of illegal immigrants, are denied fundamental property rights. For example, Article 27 states, "Only Mexicans by birth or naturalization and Mexican companies have the right to acquire ownership of lands, waters and their appurtenances, or to obtain concessions for the exploitation of mines or of waters."

• Article 11 guarantees federal protection against "undesirable aliens resident in the country."

• What is more, private individuals are authorized to make citizen's arrests. Article 16 states, "In cases of flagrante delicto, any person may arrest the offender and his accomplices, turning them over without delay to the nearest authorities." In other words, Mexico grants its citizens the right to arrest illegal aliens and hand them over to police for prosecution. Imagine the Minutemen exercising such a right.

• The Mexican constitution states that foreigners -- not just illegal immigrants -- may be expelled for any reason and without due process. According to Article 33, "the Federal Executive shall have the exclusive power to compel any foreigner whose remaining he may deem inexpedient to abandon the national territory immediately and without the necessity of previous legal action."

As the immigration debate in the Senate moves into a decisive phase this week, legislators who believe America's southern border must be secured, the nation's existing immigration laws enforced and illegal aliens not rewarded with permanent residency and a direct path to citizenship are being sharply criticized and, in some cases, defamed as bigots and xenophobes.

Yet, even their maximalist positions generally pale in comparison with the treatment authorized by the Mexican constitution.

So the next time such legislators -- and the majority of Americans for whom they speak -- are assaulted by Mexican officials, undocumented aliens waving Mexican flags in mass demonstrations here in the United States, clergy and self-described humanitarians, businessmen and other advocates of illegal immigration, ask them this: Would they favor having the U.S. impose the same restrictions on immigrants -- legal and illegal -- that Mexico imposes on their counterparts there?

Nothing of the kind is in the cards, of course. Nor should it be. Legal immigration and the opportunity for foreign investors and other nationals to contribute to this country are not only one of its hallmarks -- they are among the reasons for its greatness.

Still, we should not allow the hypocrisy of others' treatment of undocumented aliens in their countries to induce us to refrain from taking effective steps to prevent further illegal immigration: by building a fence along our southern border; by enforcing immigration laws in the workplace and elsewhere; and by discouraging more such violations -- with potentially grave national security implications -- by dealing effectively with those who have already broken those laws by coming here without permission.

[Note: The official text of the Constitution of Mexico appears on the Website of the Chamber of Deputies, or lower house of Congress, of the United Mexican States: http://www.cddhcu.gob.mx/leyinfo/txt/1.txt. So let's get this straight... Democrats want us to offer free healthcare... scratch that... taxpayer funded healthcare (it's only free to the illegal immigrants because we are footing the bill), taxpayer funded college and drivers licenses to citizens of a country that would deny the same and more to illegals in their own country?

They say Bush lied? Well then, so did they!!!!

You may have already seen this video. But it does such a great job of demonstrating the hypocrisy of the left when it comes to the war in Iraq that I had to post it.

The Democratic Culture of Denial

Leave it to our friends on the left to never let reality get in the way of a good socialistic political agenda. It does not matter the candidate or the issue, Democrats continued refusal to accept the fact that they and their ideas bare no resemblance to mainstream values is clear proof of the Democratic Culture of Denial.

Nowhere is this more evident than right here in California. As Democratic Gubernatorial candidate Phil Angelides begins his push toward the November general elections, he has the audacity to try and portray himself as a centrist. Pffft!!!!

Isn’t this the guy who wants to raise taxes; drastically increase government spending; over-regulate business; open the boarders; give diplomas to kids to can’t read; write or do math at a 10th or 8th grade level; socialize medicine and ignore California voters and legalize same-sex marriage? Where exactly is the centrist agenda?

Phil, and the California Democratic Party have staked out their position on the far left. And according to polls, they have chosen to go against the values of most California voters on most of these key issues. So why exactly to they think they can win in the fall? Well, there are two modes of thought on this. They either think that we are stupid or they have fallen victim to the Democratic Culture of Denial.

Phil Angelides a centrist? Yeah... When pigs fly!!!!

Standing in the GAP

One of the most exciting and inspirational events I have ever had the privilege of participating in took place a couple of weeks ago. The Genocide Awareness Project (GAP) is designed to spur discussion about the tragedy of abortion came to UC Davis. And I was blessed to be on hand to minister to and talk with UC Davis faculty, staff and students.

The Center for Bio-Ethical Reform sponsors The Genocide Awareness Project (GAP) which is:

… a traveling photo-mural exhibit which compares the contemporary genocide of abortion to historically recognized forms of genocide. It visits university campuses around the country to show as many students as possible what abortion actually does to unborn children and get them to think about abortion in a broader historical context.

I know what you are thinking… “Oh great!!! Another Christian, right-wing whacko carrying around disgusting abortion pictures making us ‘Sensitive’ Pro-lifers look bad!” Well nothing could be further from the truth. Those who organize the GAP make every effort to create a positive atmosphere for discussion and dialogue.

It is our policy to treat everyone who approaches the GAP display with respect. We do not yell or use amplified sound. CBR holds staff and volunteers to strict rules of engagement. We know that the images we display are not pleasant. They represent an injustice of such magnitude that words alone fail us. Until injustice is recognized, however, it cannot be eradicated. We place our images in the public square because it is the last mass-media venue available to us. For all the people who will not take the time to be educated about abortion themselves, we bring the education to them.

As a matter of fact, every volunteer must sign a code of conduct before being allowed to participate in the project. It stated that we were not allowed to shout at people or force them to look at the photos. We also were not allowed to bring up religion, unless asked specific questions relating to the topic. But I will tell you, there was plenty of discussion and almost all of it was positive.

There were several people who came by simply to share their disgust at the pictorial. My question to them was, “Are you disgusted that these atrocities were taking place or that we are showing them to you?” And almost always they were upset that we were showing them the abortion pictures.

The reality is that abortion advocates and the mainstream media have done thier best to sanitize the issue of abortion. For example, they call the unborn child a “fetus” in order to dehumanize it. It is funny how they will show you all kinds of gore and violence on TV and then get upset when you show them actual pictures of babies that have been aborted.

One of the pictorials showed the picture of a child who was born prematurely (24 weeks) next to a child that had been aborted during that same stage of the pregnancy (24 weeks). The only difference between the two was that one was wanted by their mother and the other was not. The caption of that one was “The Insanity of Choice!”

I made it a point to share that while I realized that these pictures were upsetting, we were not responsible for what was in them. These photos displayed the reality of abortion… A reality that Planned Parenthood and others in the abortion industry don’t want people to know about.

It was amazing how misinformed many of the folks I spoke with were. One student could not believe that abortion was legal past the first trimester. And when I shared how partial-birth abortions are performed, many of the abortion supporters even had to agree to that it was a barbaric procedure.

And then there were those who were simply in utter denial. One onlooker admitted that he believed a parent’s right to choose should even extend to after the child was born. Another, when confronted with statistics demonstrating the disproportionate number of abortions performed in the Black community, made the statement that most young Black men are in prison anyway. So it was probably a good thing. This was a left-wing, liberal white woman saying this!

There were also those whose perspective on abortion was clearly altered as a result of the discussions that took place. It was hard to look at pictures of 8 and 10 week old aborted children (most of which had visible hands, feet, eyes, etc.) And not at least question whether or not it was a child. And our plea to them was “that if there is any doubt, shouldn’t error on the side of allowing the children to live?”

Person after person shared their personal testimony of how they, their girlfriend or a friend toiled through the process of having an abortion and the devastation it caused in their lives. They said that if they had known the whole truth, they might have made a different decision. In love, we let them know that many of us have made that mistake because we simply didn’t know. And that is why we were there, so that they could be exposed to the information that the abortion industry has intentionally hidden from them.

Most encouraging was the overall response by the students at UC Davis. With very few exceptions, they were gracious, respectfully inquisitive and even those who did not agree with us treated us with respect and recognized our right to freely express our views in the public square.

The folks at UC Davis were class acts and I for one would like to thank them for being so hospitable.

Support the Platform Declares Victory!

Well the 2006 primary election is behind us. And here in Sacramento County, those who support the state and national platforms of the Republican Party were overwhelmingly successful.

Of the 16 candidates for the Sacramento County Republican Central Committee who participated in the Support the Platform Slate, 12 were elected. That is a success rate of 75%. WOW!!!!
